CRM197是一種將52位的甘氨酸替換為谷氨酸的單一突變的無毒性的白喉毒素突變體，致使白喉毒素酶活性位點發(fā)生改變，從而不能對細胞產(chǎn)生毒性作用，但在抗原性和免疫原性上仍和天然白喉毒素保持一致。CRM197是一種研究明確的蛋白質(zhì)，作為多糖和半抗原的載體使其具有免疫原性。它被用作一種載體蛋白，用于許多已經(jīng)被批準的疫苗，比如腦膜炎球菌、乙型流感嗜血桿菌和肺炎球菌感染的結(jié)合疫苗。
